Sometimes I wonder whether Snapdragon is really just an excuse to buy things - a way of having the excuse to browse through ribbon catalogues and packaging websites.
Over the past few months as trade has increased it has been obvious that my packing up technique is anything but streamlined. I never seem to have everything in the right place, so this week I vowed to get it all a bit more organised - to do a bit less of the traipsing back and forward for sellotape, string, addresses, tissue and so on.
Part of that was ordering some proper sticky address labels - which arrived last week.
I love them - they are very simple - nothing fancy. Now I can be organised, write out all the labels at my computer and then take them down to stick on the packages in the caravan. There is a packing station planned with ribbons and rolls of paper, but that is being put off for six weeks or so (exciting new development I can't share at the mo) and meantime I shall have a happy time playing with stickers. Just what is it about stickers that is so appealing? I am desperate now to find an excuse to order more.
Today I have managed to clear the backlog orders for tea towels - I hate being behind on orders. Now the order board is clear and I can start to build up some stock again. Thank you all for your patience;
Hi Jane. Oh boy, do I know what you mean about the packaging - i swear it feels as though it takes more time than making up the order! Love your new labels.
As to your last post, I have barely done any of the things I planned this holiday apart from spending time with the children. Even when I manage to get into my sewing room I feel so out of touch with it that I don't seem to achieve much at all. It is worrying me but there isn't much I can do about it. x

Just a note to thank you for the t-towel that I ordered and received recently! It is just lovely – and although I don’t know many people who get too excited about t-towels - I did - when the postie brought my package with its colourful enclosures!

Hi Jane - your packaging is great - just like getting a present through the post!
As for the summer holidays, one of the best things about being a child was having time to do nothing in particular! I remember hours pottering about doing this & that - no deadlines, no-one wanting to know whether you've sorted this or that, or what you want them to do next - no-one to organise........I'm sure I spent an entire summer sitting in the christmas tree field teaching myself to blow bubbles with gum! I reckon being bored is something to aspire to on a summer's afternoon!
