All this week - up until 20th we are open as part of Forth Valley Open Studios - people can wander round the garden, browse in the airstream which has been transformed into a shop, and come down and see how I make things in the workshop.
Since Wednesday I have been very worried - would people be disappointed in our set up here? Would they expect it to be an edited version like the blog and magazines? Euan didn't really help by repeatedly asking why anyone would want to come and see us anyway.
Today has been wonderful though - the weather helps - on a sunny day like today the walk through the garden to the caravan is stunning with its views down the valley and over to the hills. But more than that, everyone who has visited has been really enthusiastic.
Early on we had a lovely group of teens who had been chauffeured down from Dundee by a Mum - they had saved up their pocket money to splurge on notebooks and bottle openers.
Later we were visited by Linda and Dani who own Jolie knitting shop in Walkern, Hertfordshire
and who have their own very beautiful blog
Everyone has been so complimentary and has really "got" what I am trying to do here - I suppose that that is the joy of being part of something like an Open Studios event - people are looking for a "behind the scenes" experience, not a showroom.
