The garden started to fade here back in July but the smoke bush Cotinus comes in to it's own at this time of year and is on fire with colour....the nasturtiums are still going strong too.

The best thing where I am right now is the preparation for, and anticipation of, a trip to Harris and Lewis - starting tomorrow! Excited - I am! The garden and all its dead and dying plants will have to wait awhile. In fact, might have to wait until the Spring! (Hope you're not too horrified!)

The best thing here at the moment is by far the Cosmos... Although I do fear for its survival and know it will soon die off.

I am also enjoying the late show from the Sweet Peas, Scabious and the Campanula bells are always welcome :)

I guess I'm ready for a break too. Until the snow this week, the best thing was the low autumn sunlight streaming through the heuchera like stained-glass.

The best thing here at the moment.....the strong young leeks growing in the polytunnel, at last free from weeds and showing the promise of lovely homegrown food for January.

And the best flower...a lovely deep maroon Aricula that has just burst into flower, I thought the chickens had eaten them all, somehow this little beauty survived to show all it's glory.

Sue xx

The bonfire colours of nasturtiums still going strong make me smile every morning as I walk past them.

Have just enjoyed a catch up with your activities. Lovely to have yet more chicks, and to read about your 'wee' biz going from strength to strength.
Lovely to see you in Stirling too.
