Somehow the last few years have run together and suddenly I turn around and find that Zoe is leaving primary school tomorrow.
This morning was the leaver's service when the P7s get to take over the local church and put together an hour of hymns, readings and reminiscences - never has "Auld Lang Syne" played on recorders been so poignant.
They are a lovely class - a credit to the community, their parents and perhaps most importantly to the school.
They are also beside themselves with excitement, looking forward to staring at Balfron high after the summer.
But tell me - just when did they all get quite so tall?????
Ah, the bitter sweet time...My son is leaving Lower School for Upper and my daughter is relinquishing her Head Girl-ship for College next week so I sympathise....it all passes so quickly doesn't it?

I'm still another two years away from my son leaving secondary school, but I am so not looking forward to the day when I'm looking up at this gangly youth called my son!

Hi Jane
My goodness, Zoe looks just like you!!!!
It is lovely to hear how proud you are of her and the class as a whole. What an exciting time of change this is!
As for the height - I'm sure there must be some compost or other that this generation is consuming, because they certainly do shoot up quickly!
Have a great weekend

Hello Jane
Zoe does look so much like you! You must be so proud. I can't believe how quickly time seems to go once you have children. My little boy kept me awake nearly all night last night sure that there were monsters in his wardrobe. He starts at primary school with his twin sister in September. You've just reminded me that they grow so quickly, and all too quickly i'll probably be kept awake thinking "when are they coming home?!"
Have a lovely weekend

Zoe looks beautiful and very grown up! And I love her dress! She looks and dresses like my eldest, "Dorothy", who went up to secondary school last September. It's incredible how fast they grow up!

P.S. I haven't forgotten about photographing my gorgeous jam badge - just need the sun to shine again!
